Landscapes: Autumn Exhibition

October 18 - December 1, 2021

Young Sup Han, Ham Sup, Sun Jeong Min

Donghwa Ode Gallery presents a group exhibition, featuring the works of Young Sup Han, Ham Sup, and Sun Jeong Min.

Each artist uniquely encapsulates organic motions, landscapes, and textures. Young Sup Han abstracts Hanji through a process of rubbing the contours of natural materials, such as stones, twigs, and leaves. The work of Sun Jeong Min meditates on the rhythm and synchronicity which results from spontaneous and chaotic natural patterns. And Ham Sup transforms Hanji through a process which includes pounding, stamping, rolling, and using natural dyes to create a tactile and organic texture.

By transcribing these organic characteristics into their form of choice, they preserve the ephemeral nature of these features, encapsulating them as though in a time capsule.
