Donghwa ode gallery is pleased to present a group exhibition, “Ruminations” featuring the works of Suh Jeong Min, Yong R Kwon, Kyung Ae Hur, and Hoo Chang Lee. These artist’s work cross the traditional boundaries between sculpture and painting. While balancing on this line, the pieces, both through the process of creation and viewing, ask for meditative contemplation. Kwon’s work, which uses light as its main medium, asks what the limits are of man’s control over light, and nature at large. Lee’s introspective glass pieces distort and manipulate what is seen and not, through this, the artists explores human perception. Both Suh Jeong Min and Yong R Kwon use a methodical and meditative process to complete their works which explore transformation and pattern.
