Po Kim was featured as a Spotlight Artist at the 2015 ArtAspen!

"Po Kim (1917-2014) founded the Dept. of Fine Arts at Chosun University in Korea. However, Po was incarcerated and tortured during the Korean war and left Korea in 1955 to accept a fellowship at Univ. of Illinois. He moved to NYC a few years later and was absorbed into the NY School AbEx movement where he painted alongside the first generation masters. He lived and worked there for 60 years. Rich in narrative, his paintings contained personal themes and mysterious alternative realities filled with animals, humans and nature..."
